THIS TRIPTYCH WAS DESIGNED FOR AN AMSTERDAM KITCHEN THAT ADJOINS THE GARDEN. THE KITCHEN’S LARGE YELLOW BEAMS ARE USED AS AN ELEMENT IN THE DESIGN: CONSEQUENTLY THE LONG HORIZONTAL FORMAT OF THE PAINTING. ELEMENTS FROM A KITCHEN HAVE BEEN USED AS WELL AS AN OLD DUTCH TEXT AS A DECORATIVE ELEMENT.
